Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cashmere collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information in connection with its websites, applications, membership community, events, and related services.

Effective October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to Cashmere's websites, applications, membership platform, application and admissions process, events, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The information actually collected depends on the Services, features, and interactions you use.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on your interactions with Cashmere, we may collect information you provide directly, information generated through use of the Services, transaction and event information, information from service providers, and information reasonably necessary to operate and protect the Services.

  • Account and identity information, including name, email address, telephone number, date of birth or age, authentication information, and account identifiers.
  • Profile information, including photographs, videos, occupation, relationship status, children or family-related preferences, dating or relationship preferences, biography or profile responses, chapter, city or general area.
  • Application and admissions information.
  • Communications and interactions, including messages, likes, connections, blocks, reports, and support communications.
  • Membership, event, transaction, attendance, benefit, subscription, payment-status, refund, and fulfillment records.
  • Technical, usage, safety, integrity, and enforcement information.

2. Application and Admissions Information

Cashmere may collect admissions information that is not displayed to other Members, including annual income, application responses, criminal-history or pending-charge disclosures requested by the application, protective-order disclosures, introductory or application video, verification information, explanations supplied by an applicant, and referral information.

We may maintain internal application status, review information, administrative notes, prior membership history, returning-member information, integrity or safety information, and eligibility or enforcement records. We use such information for admissions, community integrity, verification, fraud prevention, safety, enforcement, and evaluation of returning applicants.

Admissions-only information is not intended to become part of a Member's public or member-facing profile merely because Cashmere collects it.

3. Profile Photos, Videos, and Verification Records

Cashmere may collect photographs, introduction videos, and other media submitted for an application, profile, identity review, or verification process. Approved profile information and media may be displayed to authorized Members.

Cashmere may retain an original or previously submitted primary photograph, application or introduction video, and related verification records as an internal baseline after publicly displayed media changes or membership ends, when reasonably necessary for identity integrity, re-verification, fraud prevention, safety, enforcement, dispute resolution, and future or returning applications.

Verification is not a criminal background check and does not guarantee a person's identity, history, honesty, intentions, conduct, or safety.

4. Messages and Communications

Cashmere may store Member-to-Member messages and communications transmitted through the Services. Cashmere may access, preserve, or review communications when reasonably necessary to investigate reports, address safety or abuse, enforce policies, prevent fraud or security incidents, troubleshoot or operate the Services, comply with law or lawful process, or protect Cashmere, Members, or others.

Members should not assume communications transmitted through Cashmere are inaccessible to Cashmere. Cashmere does not undertake to routinely read every private conversation.

5. Location Information

Cashmere may collect location-related information you provide, such as city, chapter, ZIP or postal code, or general geographic area, where relevant to membership, admissions, events, or Services.

Cashmere does not currently use the Services to collect precise GPS location for passive Member tracking or proximity monitoring. If a future feature requires precise device location, this Policy and any required permission or consent process will be updated as appropriate before that collection occurs.

An IP address may provide an approximate geographic area and may be processed for security, fraud prevention, analytics, or technical operation.

6. Payments and Transactions

Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors, app marketplaces, financial institutions, or other payment platforms. Cashmere may receive purchase amount, payment status, transaction identifiers, subscription status, billing information, refunds, and limited payment-method information.

Where payment credentials are collected directly by a third-party provider, Cashmere does not necessarily receive or store complete payment-card numbers or equivalent financial credentials. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

7. Device, Analytics, Cookies, and Technical Information

Cashmere and providers acting on its behalf may collect IP address, device type, operating system, browser, app version, device or application identifiers, language, timestamps, referring pages, features viewed, interactions, diagnostics, crash reports, performance information, logs, and security events.

Services may use cookies, local storage, software development kits, pixels, or similar technologies to provide functionality, maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand use, measure performance, detect fraud, and improve the Services. Particular technologies and providers may change over time.

8. How We Use Information

We may use information to operate, maintain, personalize, secure, and improve the Services; process applications and administer membership; provide profiles, messaging and interactions; process subscriptions, transactions, cancellations and refunds; administer events, check-in, benefits and Member Collection fulfillment; authenticate accounts and perform identity or media verification; investigate fraud, impersonation, abuse, harassment, safety issues and policy violations; provide support and communications; analyze performance; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

9. Information Visible to Other Members

Information intentionally included in a Member profile or designated for Member-facing features may be visible to authorized Members according to the Services' design and settings. This may include profile photographs, profile video, first name, age, occupation, relationship or dating preferences, biography or profile responses, and other Member-facing information.

Admissions-only, administrative, payment, safety, and internal information is not made Member-facing merely because Cashmere possesses it. Although Cashmere prohibits unauthorized copying or disclosure under its policies, Cashmere cannot guarantee another person will not capture, copy, remember, or improperly disclose information they can view.

10. Service Providers and Business Partners

Cashmere may disclose information to vendors, contractors, processors, and service providers supporting cloud hosting, databases, authentication, storage, email, messaging or SMS, analytics, diagnostics, security, fraud prevention, customer support, payment processing, event technology, communications, media processing, and other operations. Providers may change as Cashmere's technology and business evolve.

11. Other Circumstances in Which Information May Be Disclosed

Cashmere may disclose information when you direct or consent; to facilitate a requested event, transaction, benefit, or service; to comply with law or lawful process; to protect rights, property, safety, security, or integrity; to investigate fraud, abuse, or policy violations; in emergencies; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or change of control. We may also use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information where permitted by law.

12. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising

Cashmere does not sell Members' personal information for money and does not intend to operate a business model based on selling Member profiles or personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Some privacy laws define “sale,” “share,” “targeted advertising,” or similar terms more broadly. If Cashmere engages in activity within such a statutory definition, Cashmere will provide notices, choices, or opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.

13. Data Retention

Cashmere retains information for periods reasonably necessary to provide the Services and for membership administration, safety and integrity, fraud prevention, enforcement, legal compliance, dispute resolution, defense of claims, accounting, and returning-applicant evaluation. Retention varies by category and circumstance.

Certain application, admissions, verification, safety, enforcement, financial, transaction, and prior-membership records may be retained after account closure when reasonably necessary and permitted by law. Backups, legal holds, technical limitations, fraud-prevention records, and legal requirements may affect deletion timing.

14. Information Security

Cashmere uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No transmission, storage, authentication, or information-security method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

15. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on your residence and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information concerning processing or disclosures, and rights to object to or opt out of certain processing. Such rights are not absolute and may be limited where retention is permitted or required for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, security, financial records, disputes, enforcement, or legal claims.

Cashmere may reasonably verify the identity and authority of a requester. Marketing communications may include unsubscribe or preference controls; transactional, safety, legal, account, or membership communications may continue where necessary.

16. Account Deletion and Closure

Account deletion or membership termination does not necessarily require deletion of every associated record. Cashmere may retain information permitted or required by law and information reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, enforcement, prior membership and admissions history, verification, financial records, legal compliance, disputes, and protection of Cashmere or others.

Information previously shared with another Member may remain in that Member's records or communications to the extent inherent in operation of the Service or permitted by law.

17. Children

Cashmere membership and dating Services are intended only for adults age eighteen (18) or older. Cashmere does not knowingly permit persons under eighteen to become Members. If Cashmere learns it collected a child's personal information in circumstances prohibited by law, it may take legally required deletion steps.

18. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, payment platforms, authentication providers, venues, or other services. Those parties may process information under their own privacy policies and terms. Cashmere is not responsible for independent third-party privacy practices.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Cashmere may update this Policy as Services, technology, legal obligations, or business practices evolve. The effective date above identifies the version in effect. Where law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, Cashmere will provide it as required.

20. Contact

Questions concerning this Privacy Policy or privacy requests may be submitted through Cashmere's contact page or by email at hello@cashmereclub.app.

Additional contact information or jurisdiction-specific disclosures may be added as Cashmere expands into additional jurisdictions.
